First Wednesdays

We meet for a drink and social gathering at 7.30pm on the first Wednesday of each month in the Barrels Alehouse, Bridge Street Berwick.  There is no agenda – just come along to meet everyone and have a chat.

Producers’ Markets

Following the success of our Minifest on 29th September 2007 and the pre-Christmas Producers’ Market on 19th December 2007 we have decided to hold regular Producers’ Markets behind the Guildhall in Berwick.  The first of these will be on 22nd March (Easter Saturday) and thereafter on the second Saturday in each month.  These will culminate in our Food Festival on 13th and 14th September when they will be held in the Barracks Square.

Berwick’s Food Heritage Project

This is an exciting project running over eighteen months to research links between Berwick’s heritage and local food for which we have secured funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund.  Click here to read the press release we have just issued which will give you more information on this project.

Food Awards

We are working with Taste-T on developing a food award scheme which recognizes restaurants, retailers and others who feature local produce.  These awards will be presented at our Food Festival. We hope to be able to use the information collected by this project to publish directories of restaurants and retailers on this website   For more information click here.
